Oliver J.M Chinganya - Member

Oliver Chinganya is currently the Director at the African Centre for Statistics at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa since April 2016. Previously, he worked for the African Development Bank as Manager for the Statistical Capacity Building Division in the Statistics Department of the African Development Bank, from 2010 to 2016. Prior to joining the Bank, he was the Regional Advisor for the International Monetary Fund (IMF) from 2002 to 2009. Before joining the IMF, he was a Deputy Director of the Zambia Central Statistical Office until 2002.



Oliver has over 26 years of experience in statistical development in Africa, at both national and international levels, including supporting and developing demand from users of statistical and economic information and in negotiating with international agencies and development partners. His qualifications include a MSc. in Statistics from University of Southampton, UK and an MBA from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Nairobi Kinya.
